AlcoTec ALMIGWeld® Aluminum MIG Welding Wire of 3/64" Dia is made of 5554 alloy with magnesium, manganese, chromium and titanium as the principle alloying elements. Wire with 1155 to 1195 deg F melting range is non-heat treatable and becomes sensitive to stress corrosion cracking at elevated temperatures. Wire primarily formed for alloy 5454 is extensively used in the manufacture of chemical storage tanks and particularly for temperatures that exceed 150 deg F. It is ideal as a filler wire in welding application and obtains white color when anodized. It is normally associated with ER5554 class of wires. Wire with .097 lb/cu.in density comes in a mini drum of 50 lb. Wire resistant to corrosion meets ANSI/AWS A5.10 standards.
